Overview
- Peloton, which announced the lineup on Tuesday, Sept. 22, introduced three treadmills: the foldable Tread Flex at $2,195, the redesigned Tread Vision at $3,495, and the Tread+ Vision at $6,695.
- The company expanded its Peloton IQ software with camera-based Run Analysis that scores running efficiency using cadence, vertical oscillation and stride length, plus IQ Pace Targets, ReRuns of outdoor routes, and heart-rate zone workouts.
- The Tread Flex folds to cut its footprint by about half and rolls on casters for storage, but it does not include a camera so it cannot use the new camera-driven Peloton IQ features.
- All three models go on sale in North America on October 1, Peloton added Whoop to its wearable integrations, the announcement lifted Peloton shares roughly 5 percent, and analysts say the key test is whether hardware sales convert into recurring subscribers.
- Peloton has returned to profitability and improved cash flow, but paid subscriptions and revenue remain under pressure, making holiday demand and the company’s ability to turn equipment buyers into $50-per-month members the immediate measures of success.
