Overview
- Peloton announced on Tuesday, September 22 a three-model treadmill lineup led by the new foldable Tread Flex priced at $2,195 and said all three models go on sale in North America on October 1.
- The Tread Flex folds upright to free roughly half the floor space, has caster wheels for moving it, a slow two-cylinder deck release, runs to 12.5 mph and does not include a camera used for some AI features.
- Peloton expanded Peloton IQ with Run Analysis that uses cameras on the higher-end models to score form, IQ Pace Targets for personalized speed ranges, ReRuns to recreate outdoor routes and real-time heart-rate zone workouts.
- The lineup also includes the Tread Vision at $3,495 and the Tread+ Vision at $6,695, with the Tread+ adding Sled Mode that can apply up to 300 pounds of resistance for strength-style pushes.
- Investors briefly pushed the stock up about 5% on the news, but analysts cautioned that multi-year revenue declines and subscriber headwinds mean Peloton must convert buyers and memberships this holiday season to change its growth path.
