Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf Proposes Acquisition of Bankrupt Fashion Chain Sinn

The proposal includes maintaining Sinn's headquarters in Hagen and its 41 stores, pending creditor and regulatory approvals.

  • Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf (P&C) has submitted a formal offer to acquire the insolvent clothing retailer Sinn GmbH.
  • The acquisition plan aims to preserve Sinn's operations, including its central office in Hagen and all 41 existing stores across Germany.
  • The proposal requires approval from Sinn's creditors, who are expected to decide in March, as well as clearance from Germany's Federal Cartel Office.
  • Sinn, which filed for self-administered insolvency in August 2024, has continued its business operations during the proceedings.
  • Other potential bidders, including Sinn's current shareholder Isabella Göbel, may also express interest in the company.
