Overview

• The crash occurred Monday at about 9:40 p.m. on the 2300 block of Ogden Avenue when the woman was crossing the street
• First responders took the unidentified pedestrian to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead
• The driver of the eastbound vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with Downers Grove police
• Downers Grove officers have enlisted the DuPage M.E.R.I.T. Major Crash Reconstruction Team to aid the ongoing investigation
• Authorities are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the collision to contact police at 630-434-5600
