Overview

• Emergency crews responded just before 9 p.m. Saturday to US 29 North near Creek Ridge Road in Greensboro.
• Police say a northbound vehicle struck a person who was walking in the roadway.
• The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.
• The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
• The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
