Pedestrian Fatality Closes Highway 4 in Brentwood

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning, prompting a full investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 5:55 a.m. on westbound Highway 4 near Walnut Boulevard.
A black Chevrolet Avalanche was involved in the collision, with the driver remaining unharmed.
Highway 4 was closed in both directions between Walnut Boulevard and Vasco Road for approximately three hours.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of family members.
The California Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses to provide more information on the incident.
