Overview

• The crash occurred at 10:13 p.m. Sunday on South King Road near Aldrich Way when a northbound 2022 white Chevy truck struck a pedestrian outside a marked crosswalk.
• The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead.
• South King Road was closed between Barberry Lane and Nickel Avenue for investigators and reopened at 5:16 a.m. Monday.
• It was the 21st traffic death and 11th pedestrian fatality in San Jose in 2025.
• Officials have not released the victim’s identity as the police investigation continues.
