Overview
- Core Devices reacquired the Pebble trademark in July, enabling it to rebrand its Core Time 2 prototype as the Pebble Time 2.
- The finalized design features 316-grade stainless steel for the front, back and buttons, slimmer bezels and a flat glass panel over a 1.5-inch, 64-color e-paper touchscreen.
- New hardware additions include a multicolor RGB LED backlight, a second microphone for potential noise cancellation, a compass sensor and a screw-mounted back cover for easier servicing.
- Pebble Time 2 runs open-source PebbleOS and maintains the brand’s focus on always-on e-paper simplicity, hackability and up to 30 days of battery life.
- Preorders are open at $225 with an upgrade path for earlier customers, while final colorways, exact water-resistance rating and a December 2025 or January 2026 ship date remain to be finalized.
