Pearl Harbor Sailors Finally Laid to Rest After 80 Years

Remains of servicemen killed in the 1941 attack are identified and buried with full military honors, bringing closure to families.

Seaman 2nd Class Michael Malek and Seaman 1st Class Frank Hryniewicz were among those identified and honored.
Malek’s burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
Hryniewicz was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery earlier this month.
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency has identified 362 of the 429 missing sailors from the USS Oklahoma.
