Overview
- Peak XV executed a partial exit through its affiliate Peak XV Partners Growth Investments III by selling 33,33,500 Go Digit shares for about ₹100 crore in a block deal executed on Thursday.
- Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund bought roughly 21.66 lakh shares and JPMorgan (Taiwan) bought about 11.66 lakh shares at ₹300 apiece, a price about 0.9% below the previous close.
- The trade caused sharp intraday volatility on Friday when the stock jumped over 10% to a high of ₹333.85 before giving up most gains and closing with modest gains.
- Go Digit reported stronger Q4 FY26 results with profit after tax up about 28% to ~₹149 crore and gross written premium of ~₹2,736 crore, but it continues to face a contested tax demand totalling about ₹384.4 crore plus ~₹100.4 crore of interest.
- Promoters still hold the bulk of the company at around 73% and the block sale both provides liquidity for an early investor and signals continued institutional interest in the insurtech despite the tax overhang.
