Overview
- The Pakistan Cricket Board has granted conditional NOCs to 12 contracted players for the BBL, BPL and ILT20 with national team selections taking precedence over league commitments.
- Sources say any player picked for Pakistan’s T20Is must exit the Big Bash to join the Sri Lanka series on January 7, 9 and 11, with a home T20 series against Australia starting January 30.
- BPL officials expect leading Pakistan players will not be available for the full December 26–January 23 season and are planning alternatives, reflecting the clash with Pakistan’s January fixtures.
- Senior names cleared for the BBL include Babar Azam (Sydney Sixers), Mohammad Rizwan (Melbourne Renegades), Shaheen Shah Afridi (Brisbane Heat), Haris Rauf (Melbourne Stars), Shadab Khan (Sydney Thunder) and Hasan Ali (Adelaide Strikers), while Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah and Usman Tariq have ILT20 deals through early January.
- T20 captain Salman Ali Agha was the lone omission from the NOCs, with PTI reporting the decision reflects limited franchise interest and questions over his T20 impact.
