Patriots Part Ways with Safeties Coach Brian Belichick

Brian Belichick, son of former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, departs after nine years on the team's coaching staff as new head coach Mike Vrabel reshapes the organization.

Brian Belichick, who served as the Patriots’ safeties coach for the past five seasons, will not return to the team in 2025.
Belichick joined the Patriots’ staff in 2016 and held various roles, including scouting assistant and coaching assistant, before being promoted to safeties coach in 2020.
His departure comes as new head coach Mike Vrabel overhauls the Patriots’ coaching staff following a 4-13 season under former coach Jerod Mayo.
Mike Vrabel has brought in several assistants with ties to his tenure as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, including Terrell Williams as defensive coordinator and Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator.
Brian Belichick’s father, Bill Belichick, now serves as head coach at the University of North Carolina, where his eldest son, Steve Belichick, is the defensive coordinator.
