Patriots Beat Falcons by Six Wickets to Launch CPL 2025

Overview

  • The Patriots completed the 122-run chase in 15 overs with unbeaten contributions of 37 off 28 balls from Alick Athanaze and 18 off 14 from Jason Holder.
  • Afghanistan spinner Waqar Salamkheil exploited the slow surface to take 4-22 as the Falcons were bowled out for 121 in 17.1 overs.
  • The win places St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the top of the early points table with two points and a net run rate of +2.283, while the Falcons sit bottom with −2.283.
  • CPL 2025’s group stage will see six teams play a double round-robin across 30 matches through late September, with the top four advancing to an Eliminator, two Qualifiers and a final at Guyana’s Providence Stadium.
