- Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued five interim charges and requested committee recommendations by Feb. 20, with a fuller list expected in March.

- The Education Committee will pursue an “America and Texas first” approach and review school ties to designated hostile agents, while Health and Human Services was tasked with fraud-prevention recommendations for programs including Medicaid and child care.
