Patrick Mahomes Sr. Begins Jail Term for DWI Conviction

The father of NFL star Patrick Mahomes starts a 10-day sentence after pleading guilty to a third DWI charge.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested in February 2024 in Tyler, Texas, with a blood alcohol content of 0.23.
He pleaded guilty in August and agreed to a 10-day jail sentence, five years of probation, and a year of intense supervision.
This is Mahomes Sr.'s third DWI conviction, with previous offenses in 2018 and 2019.
During his arrest, Mahomes Sr. attempted to leverage his son's Super Bowl participation to avoid charges.
Following the arrest, Mahomes Sr. announced he has since given up drinking.
