Pato O'Ward to Drive for McLaren in FP1 at Mexico City Grand Prix

The IndyCar star will make his home Grand Prix debut in an F1 car during the first practice session.

McLaren's reserve driver, Pato O'Ward, will participate in FP1 at the Mexico City Grand Prix from October 25-27.
O'Ward, a Mexican native, has previously driven in FP1 sessions at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2022 and 2023.
O'Ward is currently sixth in the 2024 IndyCar Series standings with three wins this season.
The announcement comes as McLaren competes fiercely against Red Bull in both the constructors' and drivers' championships.
O'Ward expressed his excitement about driving in front of his home crowd, calling it a 'dream come true.'
