Grinding Gear Games says the patch is a course correction to 0.2 that prioritizes build diversity.

Overview

  • Act 4 unfolds across the non-linear Ngamakanui archipelago with eight islands and 12 new bosses, followed by three temporary interlude acts that replace Cruel difficulty.
  • The Rise of the Abyssal league debuts with fissure events, new bosses and abyssal item modifiers in a fresh economy.
  • Asynchronous trading arrives via a hideout merchant so players can buy listed items while sellers are offline, with gold remaining account-locked.
  • Support gems are overhauled to allow the same support to power multiple skills, with new tiers and Lineage Supports, alongside sprinting and a new deflect defensive mechanic.
  • A free-play weekend runs Aug. 29–Sept. 1 on PC, PS5 and Xbox with progress preserved after purchase; Dawn of the Hunt leagues end Aug. 26 with migration and no wipes, and the update adds 25 new endgame maps and confirms no new class this patch.
