Overview
- Disney released a trailer Monday that names McAfee among Hexed’s voice cameos and lists a UK theatrical date of November 27, 2026, but the studio has not revealed which character he will play.
- This season McAfee has taken larger on‑air duties at ESPN, serving on College GameDay and Monday Night Countdown and keeping a central studio profile.
- ESPN has announced McAfee will headline a Super Bowl alternate broadcast in February 2027, a planned event that extends his on‑air platform beyond regular-season studio shows.
- Viewers and social posts reacted with complaints about overexposure and the Disney‑ESPN corporate link, with critics saying his frequent appearances feel like cross‑promotion.
- McAfee also appears in Peter Berg’s The Mosquito Bowl (theatrical Oct. 30, 2026) and his agent is pursuing bigger film roles, and commentators say his altcast work could plausibly serve as a proving ground for larger broadcast or acting jobs though that outcome is unconfirmed.
