Paste Magazine Acquires Feminist Website Jezebel

The acquisition comes less than a month after Jezebel's shutdown, with plans to start publishing as early as this week.

Atlanta-based Paste Magazine has acquired the feminist website Jezebel, less than a month after it was shut down by G/O Media.
Paste Magazine's founder and editor-in-chief, Josh Jackson, said that Jezebel's 'acquisition means that the critical information and content that Jezebel readers have come to rely on will live on'.
Paste Magazine moved quickly to secure the all-cash deal after Jezebel was shut down, and plans to start publishing on the site as early as this week.
Paste Magazine is currently searching for a new editor-in-chief for Jezebel and is prioritizing hiring Jezebel's former staffers.
As part of the deal, Paste Magazine also acquired the political news site Splinter, which was shut down by G/O Media in 2019, and plans to relaunch it next year.
