Overview

• Enrollment rose by 496 to 83,005, a 0.6% increase and the first systemwide gain in 15 years.
• Seven of 10 campuses added students; Commonwealth University, PennWest and Kutztown declined.
• Freshman-to-sophomore retention reached a record 81%, and transfers from Pennsylvania community colleges rose 14.3%.
• Cheyney University grew to 851 students, its highest headcount since 2014, following a large freshman increase.
• West Chester remains the largest campus at about 17,400 students, and underrepresented minorities now account for a record 22% of system enrollment.
