A passenger on a delayed AeroMexico flight opened an emergency exit and walked onto the plane's wing in protest after being made to wait for four hours without ventilation or water.
The man's actions were supported by at least 77 fellow passengers who signed a statement in his defense, stating that his actions were to protect everyone's health.
The incident occurred at Mexico City International Airport and led to the man being turned over to the police.
The flight, AM672 to Guatemala City, was delayed due to a maintenance alert on the plane, causing the captain to return to the gate for required maintenance.
AeroMexico has not yet responded to a request for comment on the incident.
