A passenger was killed and three others were injured in a crash after Petaluma police chased a suspected DUI driver.

  • Around 10:10 p.m., Petaluma officers responded to a gas station on Lakeville Highway for a report of a suspected drunk driver after seeing a vehicle swerving into oncoming traffic.
  • The driver failed to stop and led officers on a high-speed chase that ended when the car flipped over near Old Lakeville No. 1.
  • One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver along with two passengers sustained serious injuries and were taken to local trauma centers.
  • The California Highway Patrol is conducting the technical crash investigation to reconstruct the sequence and causes of the rollover.
