Overview

• The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday on westbound I-84 near mile marker 103, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
• A Jeep Grand Cherokee left the road, hit the rear of a semi-truck’s enclosed trailer on the shoulder, then re-entered traffic where it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.
• Both occupants of the Jeep were taken by ambulance, and the passenger later died at the hospital.
