Siraj Kidwai, an Axis Bank employee, opened the emergency exit flap during the safety demonstration on IndiGo flight 6E 6033.
The flight crew followed standard operating procedures, alerting the pilot and airport security immediately.
The passenger claimed the act was accidental and was removed from the aircraft and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for questioning.
