Overview

• Officers spotted Boothe driving a stolen Chevrolet pickup around 7:08 p.m. on July 27 and initially halted the chase when he entered I-20 eastbound against traffic.
• Boothe crashed near Beltline Road, fled on foot, and resisted a Taser deployment before lunging into a marked Seagoville police car.
• The suspect put the patrol vehicle in gear twice, dragging an officer for more than two minutes until a second officer subdued him with a Taser.
• Authorities recovered two handguns and ammunition from the stolen truck and said Boothe had an active parole-violation warrant and documented gang ties.
• Boothe remains jailed without bond on charges including robbery, aggravated assault on a public servant and unlawful firearm possession while the injured officer was treated at the scene.
