Parklife Kicks Off 15th Anniversary Weekend at Heaton Park

Organisers are urging the use of public transport to cope with major road closures, a 9pm tram stop curfew, high passenger volumes

Overview

  • Headliners 50 Cent and Charli XCX will bookend the 15th Parklife with performances on Saturday and Sunday alongside acts including Jorja Smith, Peggy Gou and Rudimental.
  • The two-day festival opened at noon on Saturday and will run until 11pm, with gates reopening at 1pm on Sunday and last admission at 5pm each day.
  • A new MatinĂ©e stage and revamped VIP area have been introduced among six performance zones to help distribute crowds across Heaton Park.
  • Trams will operate every six minutes, but the Heaton Park Metrolink stop will close at 9pm, directing late departures to the nearby Bowker Vale station.
  • Strict rules bar re-entry, liquids over 500ml, professional cameras and large bags, with a Lost Property desk available at the West Gate beside welfare and medical tents.
