• On July 20 around 1 p.m., a camper’s red Hyundai SUV breached a chain-link fence and entered the pool at Sunsetview Farm Camping Area.
• According to the campground owner, a flip flop caught on the gas pedal may have triggered the sudden acceleration.
• Six people, including the vehicle’s occupants, were evaluated by first responders and sustained no injuries.
• Emergency crews used a crane to lift the submerged SUV out of the 33-by-50-foot pool.
• Authorities have closed and drained the pool to inspect for structural damage and potential oil contamination before reopening.
