Overview
- Officers responded around 10:20 p.m. to multiple 911 reports of gunfire near Jordan Road and Mainstreet and arrived in less than three minutes.
- Police said they found spent shell casings and live rounds in the T Square gas station parking lot and contacted a 32-year-old employee who initially presented himself as a witness.
- According to officials, the man became agitated, displayed a handgun in his waistband, then pointed it at officers, who shot him; he was taken to a hospital and died.
- Six officers have been placed on administrative leave, and no officers were injured in the incident, which Parker police said is the department’s first officer-involved shooting since 2017.
