Park Officials Investigate Roller Coaster After Crack Appears in Support Beam

Carowinds amusement park in North Carolina shut down their Fury 325 roller coaster after a large crack was discovered in one of the support beams.
Videos show the crack causing the beam to bend and shift out of place as the roller coaster passed by at high speeds.
State investigators arrived to conduct an inspection and assessment of the damage.
The ride will remain closed indefinitely until repairs are completed to ensure the safety of riders.
While the roller coaster is shut down, the rest of the park remains open to visitors.
