Paris Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony to Be Broadcast Live in IMAX Theaters

For the first time, the Olympics opening ceremony will be presented live on IMAX screens across the US, featuring a unique river parade along the Seine.

• The Paris Summer Olympics opening ceremony on July 26 will be shown live at over 150 IMAX locations nationwide, marking a first for the Olympics.
• The ceremony will feature a four-mile-long flotilla of nearly 100 boats carrying athletes from over 200 countries along the River Seine, past iconic Paris landmarks.
• Kelly Clarkson, Peyton Manning, and Mike Tirico have been announced as hosts for the opening ceremony.
• IMAX theaters will also show an NBCUniversal trailer for its Olympics coverage starting March 29.
• NBCUniversal owns the U.S. media rights to the Olympic Games through 2032.
