Overview

• Four overdoses, including two severe cases with life-threatening conditions, occurred in Paris within 24 hours.
• Three victims, all young men, had visited the same bar in the XIe arrondissement prior to their incidents.
• The substances involved are suspected to include GHB, commonly associated with chemsex, and possibly other synthetic drugs or alcohol.
• One victim, a young parliamentary aide, remains hospitalized with a critical prognosis.
• An individual accompanying one of the victims was arrested and claimed to have consumed GHB throughout the night.
