Overview
- Kickoff is set for Sunday, 4 January at 20:45 at the Parc des Princes in the first top-flight meeting of the clubs since 1978–79.
- Roughly 1,000 Paris FC supporters are expected in the away section, largely regular attendees after €10 tickets sold out quickly.
- The PFC ultras group Lutetia is banned from traveling following a December 7 altercation, while Old Clan members will attend individually with a drum and two flags and no banners.
- The DNLH did not classify the fixture as risky and Paris police kept the usual Ligue 1 setup, with parking bans from 08:00 and road closures from 17:45 around the Parc and Jean-Bouin until 01:00.
- The sides meet again at the Parc on 12 January in the Coupe de France, as RC Lens’ 3-0 win at Toulouse secured the honorary autumn title and frames the league picture.
