Paris 2024 Olympic Cauldron to Return Annually Until 2028

The iconic Olympic cauldron, featuring a 30-meter helium balloon, will be reinstalled at the Tuileries Gardens every summer, celebrating the legacy of the Paris Games.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo announced the annual return of the Paris 2024 Olympic cauldron at the Tuileries Gardens until the Los Angeles Games in 2028.
The cauldron, featuring a 100% electric flame projected onto a water mist and a helium balloon, will be displayed each summer from June 23 to September 14.
This initiative aims to preserve the cultural and emotional legacy of the Paris Games, which drew significant public enthusiasm and tourism during the summer of 2024.
Macron proposed establishing an annual 'Fête du Sport' on September 14, complementing the cauldron's display with sports demonstrations and competitions.
The cauldron, designed by artist Mathieu Lehanneur and inspired by the first hydrogen balloon flight in 1783, symbolizes innovation and Parisian history.
