Parents Charged with Murder of 14-Year-Old Daughter in Darlington

Simon Vickers and Sarah Hall face charges following the fatal stabbing of their daughter Scarlett Vickers.

The parents appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court, County Durham, on Monday.
Scarlett Vickers was found with a single stab wound at the family home on Geneva Road.
Both defendants dispute the prosecution's account of the incident.
The case has been transferred to Teesside Crown Court for further proceedings.
Local police believe the incident to be isolated and continue investigative work.
