Parental Rights Group Labeled 'Extremist' by Southern Poverty Law Center

The Southern Poverty Law Center added Moms for Liberty and other parental rights groups to its list of hate and extremist organizations.
The groups advocate for parental rights in education and oppose inclusive curriculum around race, discrimination and LGBTQ issues.
Moms for Liberty, with over 200 chapters, was specifically called out as an extremist group though its founders reject the label.
The groups expect to gain more members following the report and vow to continue supporting parents rights in education.
The SPLC report found a rise in extremist groups in the US, with many focusing on education and 'parents rights'.
