Paraná Poll Finds Half of Brazilians Disapprove of Lula’s Government

The late-December national survey shows little change from November within the margin of error.

  • Fielded December 18–22, the Paraná Pesquisas poll reports 50.9% disapproval and 45.6% approval, with 3.5% not responding.
  • The survey interviewed 2,038 people aged 16 or older in 163 municipalities and carries a ±2.2 percentage point margin of error at 95% confidence.
  • On a graded question, 42.8% rated the administration poor or terrible, 32.7% said great or good, and 23.1% called it regular.
  • Across the series, approval peaked at 54.3% in August 2023, hit a low of 39.2% in April 2025, and has partially recovered to current levels.
  • A gender gap persists, with women slightly net positive on approval (49.3% approve, 47.4% disapprove) and men net negative (41.4% approve, 54.8% disapprove).
