Paramount+ Sets Oct. 7 Premiere for Ozzy Osbourne Doc as BBC Confirms Oct. 2 Airdate

The feature presents a family-collaborated, two-hour portrait of his final years, culminating in footage from his Villa Park farewell plus one of his last on-camera interviews.

Overview

  • Paramount+ released the trailer on Sept. 17 for Ozzy: No Escape From Now, which debuts Oct. 7 in the U.S. and internationally, excluding Japan.
  • Filming began in 2022 during Patient Number 9 sessions and runs through the July 5 Villa Park farewell with Black Sabbath in Birmingham.
  • The documentary examines his 2019 fall, multiple surgeries, Parkinson’s diagnosis, chronic pain, the canceled farewell tour, and the toll on mental health.
  • Produced by Echo Velvet with MTV Entertainment Studios in collaboration with the Osbourne family, the film was not intended as posthumous but now serves as a testament to his life and work.
  • BBC One rescheduled its separate hour-long film, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, for Oct. 2 after pulling the August broadcast at the family’s request.
