Paramount Pictures has renewed its first-look development deal with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Productions through December 2026.
The deal covers motion picture development for all of Maximum Effort’s projects, at all budget levels.
Upcoming projects include the family film 'IF,' directed by John Krasinski, and the feature film 'Boy Band,' with Shawn Levy attached to direct.
Other projects in development are 'Starter Villain,' an adaptation of the 'Eloise' book series, and the original action comedy 'Gaslight Express.'
The renewal comes as Paramount Global, the studio’s parent company, becomes an acquisition target with several companies showing interest.
