- Liza Burnett Fefferman announced on August 6 that she will step down as EVP and Head of Communications for Showtime, MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks.
- Her nine-year tenure expanded from VH1 and Logo to include MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Smithsonian Channel, CMT, Pop TV, TV Land, Logo and Showtime, while co-founding and co-heading MTV Documentary Films.
- Under Fefferman’s leadership, award campaigns across her portfolio garnered 193 Emmy nominations with 50 wins, seven Oscar nominations and two Peabody Awards.
- Paramount Global Co-CEO Chris McCarthy and Chief Creative Officer Nina L. Diaz are also set to depart when the Skydance-Paramount merger closes.
- The merger, which pairs Skydance’s production capabilities with Paramount’s global distribution and Paramount+ streaming assets, is set to close on July 7 and has prompted a broader executive reorganization.
