Overview

• An official synopsis sets the film in 1993, with Chun-Li recruiting estranged fighters Ryu and Ken for the World Warrior Tournament as a deadly conspiracy unfolds.
• The ensemble includes Andrew Koji (Ryu), Noah Centineo (Ken), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i (Akuma), Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Balrog) and Jason Momoa (Blanka), among others.
• Kitao Sakurai is directing; production is underway and the movie is being filmed for IMAX.
• Paramount will handle global marketing and distribution under the new pact, with China distribution managed by Legendary East; the project is a Legendary–Capcom co-production.
• The new release date replaces an earlier March 2026 plan following the project’s move off Sony’s calendar, while Warner Bros. continues to distribute select Legendary franchises such as Dune: Part Three and Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.
