Overview

• At approximately 3:25 pm local time, an individual in dark clothing was seen on a Parafield Airport runway, triggering an immediate lockdown
• The person fled into a stormwater drain around 3:30 pm, prompting deployment of Special Tasks and Rescue Group officers, firefighters and a police dog unit
• STAR officers began searching the drainage network from about 5:30 pm but have yet to locate the intruder
• Flights resumed roughly two hours after the lockdown, including a Whyalla arrival at 4:45 pm, with no aircraft endangered
