- Paradox and Colossal Order say they have mutually ended their 15-year partnership, with Colossal Order moving on to new projects.
- Iceflake Studios will take over all existing and future work on Cities: Skylines 2, covering patches, the Editor, console editions, expansions, and content packs.
- Colossal Order will ship a bike patch and Old Town buildings on November 19, Creator Packs and radios on December 3, and a beta Editor with mod-asset support before year-end.
- Console versions remain unreleased with no date, and Iceflake says it will continue work on the ports and share concrete plans soon.
- The transition follows the sequel’s troubled October 2023 launch, when performance issues were acknowledged by both the publisher and the original developer.
