- Trustees said rising demand, higher operating costs and a fall in reliable funding forced the charity to explore cost cuts and service transfers before appointing administrators.
- Administrators are reviewing Papyrus’s services and assets and will seek to transfer programmes to other organisations where possible, but they gave no timetable or guarantee of continuity.
- Fundraisers including the 3 Dads Walking group, which raised more than £1.5m for Papyrus, said they were devastated and warned the closure will push more people toward already overstretched NHS and CAMHS services.
