Panthers LB Shaq Thompson suffers season-ending broken leg injury

Thompson injured his right ankle/leg when a Saints player fell on him during a game.
Initially thought to be a shin or ankle injury, it was later determined to be a fractured fibula.
Thompson had surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
He is a key veteran leader and top tackler for the Panthers defense.
His replacement, Kamu Grugier-Hill, filled in capably with 6 tackles and a sack.
