Overview

  • Carolina announced the extension Friday, with Moton’s agents telling ESPN the two-year deal is worth $44 million with $40 million guaranteed.
  • The agreement runs through 2027 and is expected to reduce a previously projected 2025 cap charge of more than $31 million while preventing a free agency departure next spring.
  • With Moton locked in, the Panthers have all five starting offensive linemen under contract at least through the 2026 season.
  • Moton, 31, has appeared in 129 games with 113 starts since 2017, missing his first three games only last season due to an elbow injury.
  • The team did not disclose financial terms, as is its custom, and Moton has spoken about his strong ties to the city and organization.
