Panasonic Unveils the Lumix ZS99 Point-and-Shoot Camera

The new ZS99 brings USB-C, vertical video, and a 30x optical zoom to a retro-inspired compact design, launching in February 2025 for $499.99.

The Panasonic Lumix ZS99 is a successor to the ZS80, featuring a 20.3-megapixel sensor, 30x optical zoom, and a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens with a 24-720mm range.
Key updates include the addition of USB-C for charging and data transfer, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi connectivity, replacing the previous micro USB port and removing the electronic viewfinder.
A new vertical video mode aims to appeal to social media users, alongside support for 4K video recording at 30fps and HD video at up to 120fps.
The ZS99's design caters to retro trends, with a compact, pocket-sized form factor available in black or silver finishes.
Priced at $499.99, the ZS99 will be available for purchase starting February 2025, and preorders are currently open through select retailers.
