PAMI Restores Digital Health Systems and Launches In-App Appointment Booking

A temporary paper-prescription option remains during the transition to Mi PAMI’s expanded tools.

Overview

  • PAMI says servers are operational again after a cyberattack, reactivating electronic prescriptions, electronic medical orders, digital appointment requests and access to the medical directory.
  • Health providers and affiliated institutions are authorized to resume issuing electronic orders and transmitting consultations and procedures, restoring routine care workflows.
  • A mixed regime allows patients to use either digital or paper prescriptions at pharmacies, with written prescriptions permitted until August 15.
  • The Mi PAMI app now lets affiliates request appointments on their phones, providing a confirmation with required documentation, automated reminders one day and two hours before visits, and one-tap cancellations.
  • From the app, users can check electronic prescriptions, request medical orders, use a QR digital credential, view the provider directory and reach official channels such as the 138 helpline, with downloads available on Google Play and the App Store and usage reportedly topping two million.
