Overview
- Doctors generate prescriptions in PAMI’s online system, and affiliates check them in the updated Mi PAMI app under Recetas with issuance, expiry and status.
- Medications can be withdrawn at any pharmacy in the PAMI network by presenting a DNI and the PAMI credential without printing the prescription.
- Electronic prescriptions expire 30 calendar days from issuance, and postdated orders take effect on the date shown on the prescription.
- Oncology, psychotropic and antiretroviral treatments still require a printed order with the physician’s stamp and handwritten signature.
- Digital “receta electrónica blanca” and activated “receta manual celeste” currently coexist, and PAMI agencies can transcribe in urgent cases to prevent treatment interruptions.
