• The series is the first project from And-Her-Sons Productions, the new family company formed by Anderson with Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee.
• UCP and Dark Horse Entertainment are attached to produce, with Anderson and Brandon Thomas Lee executive producing alongside Dark Horse’s Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg.
• A Dark Horse representative shared a logline that follows Barb Wire as a hardened bounty hunter in Steel Harbor who takes on jobs for the right price.
• The adaptation is described as having a different feel from the 1996 film, and casting as well as a network or streamer pickup remain undecided.
• Dark Horse plans to release The Barb Wire Compendium in February 2026, collecting the mainline comics with bonus material.
