Palworld Sets Global Launch Window for Its 1.0 Upgrade

Pocketpair says the overhaul remakes progression and multiplayer so players are advised to start new saves to get the intended experience.

Overview

  • Pocketpair confirmed on Monday that the 1.0 update will roll out around 12:30pm Japan time on Friday, July 10, with approximate global conversions such as 8:30pm PT and 11:30pm ET on the previous day.
  • The studio published unusually detailed patch notes describing deep system changes including a revamped main story, the new World Tree and Sky Islands, overhauled raid and tower-boss mechanics, and a Wildlife Sanctuary redesign.
  • New core features named in the notes include a Genetic Recombination breeding system that lets players combine high-tier Pals and server clustering for larger shared multiplayer worlds.
  • Players may keep existing saves but Pocketpair strongly recommends creating new characters because altered progression, new locations and reworked systems will change how play and progression unfold.
  • Nintendo’s ongoing lawsuit over alleged likeness and patent issues has already forced removal of a Pokéball-like summoning mechanic and remains a live factor that could influence future content and legal outcomes.
